Why do my child need this software?

My daughter, aged 2 (27 months), learned all the colours, shapes, numbers (1 to 9) and the whole alphabet within 3 weeks with this software! I did not even have to push her one bit.

Every day as I got home from work and I am in front of my PC, she would ask me to push the buttons of the keyboard. Initially I opened Microsoft Word for her and set the font size to large. I would then tell her which buttons she pressed.

I soon realized that this method had a couple of shortfalls, eg:

• None of the available fonts are the same as what they teach in school, eg: g in stead of g and an a in stead of a etc.

• Because the letters and numbers are the same colour, the child gets confused in thinking it's part of the alphabet.

• When the child works in Word, they can press certain buttons that can open / close certain programs which may harm your system.

• Foreign characters available in Word (!@#$%^&*) confuse the child and harms the learning process.
  
  Chalki educational software  is an educational aid that enables parents to teach the child different forms, colours and writing with a fun experience. It is important to praise the child when he/she excels. 

The software is developed so that the child may press any button on the keyboard without damaging your computer or software. Only buttons from the alphabet and numerical keys will react.

It also teaches the child how the number or letters are formed according to the Educational Standards.

Alphabet: 

Children learn the correct font type as well as the correct way to form the letters as prescribed by the Educational Department. At the same time the child is also familiarised with the keyboard layout. This will give your child an enormous head start in computer skills!

Numbers :

The software teaches numbers from 1 to 0. Also here the  correct way to form the numbers, according to the Educational Department, is taught.

Forms: 

Basic shapes are also taught: Circle, Triangle, Square, Diamond, Heart, Star, Rectangle, etc. 

Forms and colours 

Basic forms and colours. The child can draw with the mouse, where the mouse pointer is a specific shape(circle, triangle or square) and colour(red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, grey or black). This action teaches the child mouse control and will also give your child a huge boost in computer literacy.
